THE chamber would like to thank all of the residents who took the time to fill in their information for the new Biggenden phone book.
It was hoped that everyone would fill out the forms so that we could skip the tedious job of searching through the White Pages, but alas, we have received only about half of the forms that were posted out.
There has been a real influx of travellers to the town in recent weeks and it is really wonderful to hear the comments from them on what a friendly town we have here. Well done Biggenden. Ruff ‘n’ Tuff Car Club will hold its Charity Car Show at the Biggenden Showgrounds on August 30. The gates will open at 6am. The free bus to Maryborough Blood Bank will leave Biggenden State School bus shelter at 4.30pm on Tuesday, August 5.
If you are over 16 and under 80, are fit and healthy and would like to help your community by giving blood, give Sue Telford at the newsagency (4127 1480) a call to book a seat on the bus.
Be a little Aussie Bleeder and care for your community.

It is with gladness that we watch preparations being made for a reopening next week.
The chamber wishes Greg and Gayle Aberdein all the best for the future.
The bakery has also moved along Edward St to its new premises – right beside the newsagency. And oh, the aromas!
The chamber will hold its annual general meeting at 6pm on Wednesday, August 13, at the Commercial Hotel, with the general meeting to follow the AGM.
We are always looking for new members, so if you would like to become a member, come and have a chat.
