TV retune needed as space made for mobile broadband
NORTH Burnett residents will soon need to re-tune their TVs as free-to-air television channels are moved to new frequencies to free up space for mobile broadband and other services.
The estimated dates for the retune in the North Burnett are: Wednesday, July 30, at 3.30pm for Monto; Wednesday, October 8, at 5am for Biggenden, Gayndah, Mt Perry and Mundubbera; and Thursday, October 9, for Eidsvold.
There may be temporary outages – no longer than a few hours – to all TV channels in the days leading up to, on the day of, and the day or two after the retune date.
Some people within the same town may have different retune dates, if more than one TV tower services the area.

Some digital equipment will automatically detect and retune when UHF channels 52 to 69 are cleared and re-assigned to new channels.
No new television equipment will be needed, but if you watch TV via an antenna, you will need to retune your equipment to keep receiving all the digital TV channels.
Residents experiencing channel drop-outs or pixelation of images now may need to retune their TV or upgrade their external antenna.
For difficulties with reception of a particular channel, contact the relevant broadcaster for more information about reception issues.
