Central and North Burnett Times - - VOICE OF THE BURNETT -

SHORTLY after the establishment of the North Burnett Regional Council a street walk through business sections of all towns in the region was done.

This included regional councillors and managers, local business and interested citizens which improved communications and exchanged ideas for innovation and improvement for our towns and hamlets.

It also gave local people an opportunity to promote community assets and highlight sections of concern.

It is helpful and interesting if a casual street walk was reconvened at each centre when council meetings come to town. ■ Two weeks ago the paper showed a section of Aileen Oehm’s beautiful garden: a credit to her and a scenic asset in our town of parks and winter blossoms.

The Eidsvold Garden Group and Hospital Flower Show will be on Saturday, October 11, in conjunction with the Eidsvold State School’s 125 year anniversary.

Aileen’s roses and other blooms will be on show.
