Rates on hold

THE Re­serve Bank has left in­ter­est rates on hold again this month, at the record low of 2.5% for a full year, the long­est time rates have been kept steady since 2005. The cash rate, which was low­ered to 2.5% 13 months ago and was un­changed af­ter the RBA’s meet­ing on Tues­day, is also tipped to re­main on hold for the rest of the year.
