Winners are grinners at Cup
HILLARY’S Clang took out the 2014 running of the Nanango Cup.
Glenthorn Avenue and Gentle Giant rounded off the places for the main race.
One big winner for the day was Nanango trainer Glenn Richardson who saw three of his horses come home in the first four places in the McDonalds Kingaroy Hcp.
Richardson’s Canid won the race, with Ede Fuse finishing third and Miss You Johnny in fourth.
Richardson walked away with $14,000 for the race.
Richardson said the conditions at the weekend had suited his horse perfectly, and being trained locally might have given them a boost too.
“It would have been good if just one of them got the win, but for the three of them to do that was great,” Richardson said.
