Caller tries to trick with SES

Central and North Burnett Times - - NEWS -

THE North Burnett State Emergency Service has warned the public not to fall for a phone scam.

SES area global controller David Wilson said residents from Biggenden to Gayndah had received phone calls from someone purporting to represent the organisation, requesting donations and credit card details.

“The SES does not ring people to request donations,” Mr Wilson said.

If you suspect a fake caller, phone the Queensland SES on 4161 1663 and notify the police.
