Students sing house down
TALK about packed to the rafters.
About 250 people joined 200 Mundubbera school students ready to sing the house down at the Mundubbera State School Gala Concert.
“I feel good about singing and I am happy that the audience seemed to like my voice,” Ana Manu, 11, said.
“I felt nervous before we went on stage, but I was okay when we got started.”
Music teacher Jane Augustine said the students had only been in rehearsals since the holidays.
“Given the opportunity our children will never let you down,” she said.
“They are only too keen to please.”
Act after act delighted the audience and the quality of talent in Mundubbera was only surpassed by the enthusiasm.
“The stage is full of colour when the children are up there, they all look so wonderful,” MC and school principal Peter Townsend said.
