Biggen­den signs off on sea­son

HAS BEENS have proven their stay­ing power by win­ning back-to-back Biggen­den A-grade touch foot­ball cham­pi­onships.

Stephanie Whitaker said a big crowd of spec­ta­tors built the at­mos­phere as teams vied for A-grade and B-grade cham­pi­onships.

A-grade fi­nal­ists were sea­son lead­ers Big Eng Bar­racud­ers and 2013 A-grade cham­pi­ons the Has Beens.

De­spite lead­ing all sea­son Big Eng were de­feated 5–2 by Has Beens. The Has Beens’ Dar­ren Bed­dows and Bai­ley Grif­fin each scored two tries, with Simeon Burt scor­ing one.

Big Eng tries were scored by Bray­den Trig­ger and Jared Trig­ger. In the B-grade fi­nal, Salted Nuts won scor­ing seven tries to All Sorts’ one try. It was a fast and fu­ri­ous game with a large slice of good sports­man­ship and laughs. Salted Nuts tries were scored by Ash­lea Seabrook (1), Carl Aberdein (2), Brad Sut­cliffe (3), and An­thony Wright­son (1).

Fe­male best and fairest player was awarded to

Ju­nior best and fairest play­ers were Ash­lea Seabrook and Bai­ley Grif­fin.

Ta­mara Buczma and the male best and fairest player was Dar­ren Bed­dows.

Ju­nior best and fairest play­ers were Ash­lea Seabrook and Bai­ley Grif­fin.

The an­nual gen­eral meet­ing is in De­cem­ber.
