Rain gives way to wind for great day on course

JEFF Geissler said shoot­ers on Au­gust 18 were faced with many chal­leng­ing cross­winds but they per­se­vered to at­tain fan­tas­tic scores.

“I was very wor­ried that we were go­ing to get rained out, es­pe­cially af­ter so much rain the day be­fore,” Geissler said.

“But in say­ing that, I know how badly we all needed that rain so I was al­most not up­set of the idea of not shoot­ing.

“How­ever the shoot­ing gods smiled upon us and gave us a sunny day – windy as any­thing but still sunny and nice.” Scores were: Ron Sam­son (BRC) (FO)115.3; Ed­ward Mon­a­han (BRC) (FO)114.0; Joshua Mon­a­han (visi­tor) (FO) 109.0; Brent Leaver (BPC) (TR) 90.0; Dan Greer (visi­tor) (FO) 34.0 (re­tired); Ash­lee Leaver (visi­tor) (FO) 32.0 (re­tired).

The re­sults for July 17 were: A Leaver 221 points, D Greel 160 points, C Jen 421, J Mon­a­han 421, E Mon­a­han 437, A McCoombe 380, M Pil­beam 426, D Mun­roe 346, C Rollinson 342, L Brown 333, T Kirk 254.
