Police focus on safety
MONTO police will be cracking down on distracted drivers this week to cap off the end of traffic education month. Phones, children, make-up, radio and GPS systems can all cause crashes and police urged people to plan ahead to reduce the risk of an accident. Last week the focus was speeding and police reminded travellers about following distances, driving to conditions and stopping times. “Our area is over-represented for serious crashes,” Sergeant Glenn Fletcher said.
