Seppelt releases five new vintages

SEPPELT, one of Australia’s most historic and award-winning wineries, is celebrating the new vintage releases of its esteemed Icon and Drumborg collections and the 50th anniversary of its famously challenging, yet highly rewarding Drumborg Vineyard.

Seppelt senior winemaker Adam Carnaby says these wines are all about expressing the best of the Grampians, Heathcote and Henty.

“We only make our Drumborg and Icon wines when the vintages are exceptional – and our strategy at Seppelt is to really let the vineyards and their regionality shine through in the bottle,” he said.

“Although all sourced from Victorian regions, each vineyard experiences interesting differences in climate, soil type, elevation, sunshine, wind and rain, and especially in the case of Drumborg, challenging weather patterns.

“It’s fascinating to see the end result, particularly off the back of great vintages, which was certainly the case for our 2012 St Peters Shiraz, 2012 Mt Ida Shiraz and the latest Drumborg wines, which are the epitome of what their regions and vineyards can produce,” Mr Carnaby said.

The new releases are: Seppelt Drumborg Chardonnay 2013 $39.99 Seppelt Drumborg Riesling 2014 $39.99 Seppelt Drumborg Pinot Noir 2013 $44.99 Seppelt Mount Ida Shiraz 2012 $54.99 Seppelt St Peter Shiraz 2012 $79.99
