Punt pays off

Central and North Burnett Times - - VOICE OF THE BURNETT -

AS RELATIVELY new community members, my wife and I had heard a lot about the Monto Dairy Festival, so looked forward to attending last Saturday.

We were unable to view the procession but enjoyed all the afternoon’s entertainment at the showgrounds, staying until well into the night.

We would not presume to speak for anyone else, but for us the event had a lovely atmosphere.

Congratulations to those Montonians whose hard work made it worthwhile, particularly the Dairy Festival Committee.

There appeared to be a few people working very hard for the enjoyment of many.

We applaud you for your efforts, because you were also bold enough to take a punt on the weather and change the date from June to September.

We have only spent winter here this year and from all accounts it was a mild one, but your spring weather is beautiful.

It worked for us!
