SERVICE work and assisting their community in anyway possible is an important factor of the Biggenden Apex Club.

When the Red Collar Rescue dog shelter owners sent out a plea for helpers to put up shadecloth at the Woowoonga shelter before the hot weather set in, members were only too eager to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand.

On its Facebook page RCR owners said: “You don’t need to have any particular skills – just be willing to do what you can to help. Materials are provided we just need willing workers.”

And help Apex did, undertaking laying slabs of concrete.
