Opening doors for students

A glimpse of big school for Preppies

Central and North Burnett Times - - SCHOOL ENROLMENT -

EIDSVOLD State School’s motto is “success through industry”.

As a P-12 school, with a Prep-to-employment agenda, Eidsvold State School’s staff accept full responsibility for providing students with high-quality pedagogy, curriculum and pastoral care.

Eidsvold’s signature pedagogy of “explicit teaching” provides every student with an evidence-based, proven, intensive method of learning new content across 12 years of schooling.

In 2014, Eidsvold State School celebrated its 125th anniversary and the next 125 years will be even more successful.

Soon Eidsvold will welcome a new cohort of Prep students, who will have an opportunity to engage in the Get Ready for Prep Program.

The program will be held on Mondays throughout November from 12.30–3pm.

The upcoming Prep students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian older than 18.

During these sessions, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with school facilities, learn expectations, routines and enrolment procedures.

The open door policy encourages parents to be involved in the education of their child, especially as a helper or an observer.

It’s a very special privilege to have the care and learning of students in your hands from such a tender, young age to adulthood.
