Woodall team takes crown

THE 15th Road Kill tournament proved to be Eidsvold Bowl Club’s largest last weekend with 14 teams.

BarryWoodall’s team defeated the team from Binjour 15–11 but was never dominant.

Meanwhile the second team from Monto led by Jean Jasch defeated the Gayndah team 21–11.

One of the close ones was Eidsvold’s team led by Lindsay Payne, who defeated ErnieWaugh’s Mundubbera team 19–18.

After lunch the second round began andWoodall’s team cleaned up Rodney Hartwig’s team from Eidsvold and took the Road Kill crown.

Fittingly all trophies on the day were road kill, of sorts – marvellous meat trays valued at well over $1000 were put together by Burnett Meats in Eidsvold for prizes.

Last place on a bowls day is not usually rewarded but the Road Kill day is not usual.

Last place went to the Gayndah team led by Alan Cooper, and his team went home with the ox tail tray.
