2015 nominations now open
NORTH Burnett Regional Council and the Australia Day Council are calling for 2015 Australia Day nominations by 4.30pm on November 28. Nominees are called for Citizen of the Year (27 years or older); Young Citizen of the Year (26 years or younger); Community Event of the Year; Senior Sports Award, Senior Cultural Award (18 years or older); Junior Sports Award; Junior Cultural Award (17 years or younger); Sports Administrator Award. Ages are at January 26, 2015.
Awards will be for Biggenden, Eidsvold, Gayndah, Monto, Mt Perry and Mundubbera communities. Acting Mayor Faye Whelan said the awards were a time to celebrate and acknowledge those outstanding individuals and organisations that had made a significant contribution to their community. Nomination forms are available from council offices and libraries or online at www.northburnett.qld.gov.au.
