Man left scratching head after $422,000 win
A MAN from Eidsvold said he had a lot to think about after scoring a first-division win worth more than $422,000 in The Pools.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was overwhelmed when a Golden Casket official confirmed he’d won a division-one prize of $422,436.41 in the draw.
“I only checked my ticket after I found out the newsagency had sold a division-one winning ticket in The Pools!” the stunned winner explained.
“I really don’t know what I’m going to do with the prizemoney. I’m going to have to think about it!”
I really don’t know what I’m going to do with the prizemoney.
There was only one entry that scooped the entire first-division prize.
The winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Eidsvold News, 46 Moreton St in Eidsvold.
Bernice Anderson from Eidsvold News said she knew the gentleman but could not disclose his name.
“We are over the moon with happiness that we sold another winning ticket,” Mrs Anderson said.
“We sold a $4000 scratchie in the past two weeks and now this.”
Eidsvold News sold a $10 million division-one winning ticket in Powerball in 2010.
The winning numbers in The Pools draw 1526 were 6, 2, 19, 17, 12 and 3. The supplementary was 30.
