Burnett Hotel celebrations

Central and North Burnett Times - - OUT & ABOUT -

PARTY: The Burnett Hotel's handover party attracted racegoers, including (front from left) Kerry Farrell, Sarah Webster, (back from left) Angie Hoskinson, Kym Baker and Vicki Jensen. THE Burnett Hotel’s handover party was just the ticket after a day at the Gayndah races.

With warm country hospitality, new owner Narelle Barnicoat threw open the doors to the historic pub.

The celebration was attended by former owners, the Lutvey family, who had relinquished the hotel after 102 years.

After it burnt down in 1932, Gayndah pioneer Russia Lutvey rebuilt the hotel to include spacious verandas for dancing.

With country artist Bobby Stevenson tuning into party mode on the back deck and Alison Ouston’s fresh menu, including gluten-free and vegetarian options, guests enjoyed an evening out with family and friends.

Hope English and Sarah Carter stayed on a party high as they left with colourful balloons.

The Burnett Hotel’s owner takes pride in offering live entertainment, fun times, community support and a quality kitchen.

Peta Barbeler and Tahlia Walker celebrate the handover.

Chelsea Baker and Kellie Hutchinson celebrate after the races.
