Quilters enjoy bush setting
IF THERE’S one thing the Monto Quilter’s Group like better than handicrafts, it’s a good chat.
For 10 years the group has been heading out to the Cania Gorge Tourist Retreat for a weekend filled with all their favourite activities, and while numbers were down a little this year, the weather was perfect.
“We do a bit more embroidery and handiwork now, because it works better for talking,” Val Brighouse said, with a laugh.
On February 7 the group will celebrate their 25-year anniversary and all members are encouraged to RSVP by December 8.
RELAXING: Marion Schulke, Adele Evans, Carolyn Dullaway and Edna Gust enjoy a relaxing lunch on Monday, during their annual quilter's retreat to Cania Gorge.
It may have been a social trip, but Adele Evans made great progress on more than one fine quilt.
Adele Evans and Yvonne Duncan’s outfits are as colourful as their quilts.
Thelma Williams, Lorna Dingle, June Lingard and Val Brighouse kick back for lunch after a lovely morning of quilting and talking.
The Monto Quilters take the chance to chat and work ont their quilts at the annual getaway to Cania Gorge.
