RM Williams Centre
JUST for the record Bill Reedman, the lead consultant on the concept of the development for the centre, planned access on the straight road further to the south of Eidsvold to allow the best visible attributes of the centre for tourists and travellers in general. Bill took me with my video camera out to the site to record where he planned to set up the RM Williams Centre’s main buildings. He explained there was a dam and plenty of time for tourists to see buildings and read the signage. The film is in a capsule in Eidsvold.
I don’t see the RM Williams Centre ever working, and suggest they turn it over to the Eidsvold community and let them create their own view of what is unique to Eidsvold. They deserve the right to try. Who knows – given time and support they may get a better result. Think of the wages you’ll save!
