Juniors put skills to test

Central and North Burnett Times - - JUNIOR SPORT -

IN JUNIOR cricket everyone gets a go, but that doesn’t mean some of the young players don’t have their favourite roles.

Mundubbera’s under-10 batsman Kade Beutel says he would like to just bat.

“I like it when I am batting because they can’t get me out,” he said.

On the other oval the mood is totally different with the over-10s side intense with its defensive batting and field setting.

Over-10 player Zara Bambling said she likes to play cricket rather than others sports because she likes the friendship of others.

“Other members of my family play and it is a good game that is not too hard,” Zara said.

This great foundation in the traditional game of cricket lives on in Mundubbera when Gayndah juniors come to play.
