Monto set to party

Central and North Burnett Times - - ADVERTISING FEATURE -

Something in Latin will travel from Gympie to provide live entertainment at Monto’s street party on December 12. MONTO’S main street will come alive December 12 with the Monto Magic Christmas street party.

While in the past the annual street party also included late night shopping, this year businesses will only open if they choose to, so store owners can also be part of the celebrations.

From 5pm until 10pm the main street will close to traffic, to make way for the range of entertainment set to guarantee a fun-filled lead-up to the holiday season for the whole family.

Something in Latin will come up from Gympie to keep the party rocking with live entertainment throughout the night.

They are known for playing a variety of popular genres and were a hit when they came along to the Monto Dairy Festival in September .

Jumping castles and ham wheels will keep the kids having fun, while a mechanical bull sponsored by the Grand Hotel will provide a challenge for all age groups.

But the real drawcard for the little ones, will be a visit from Father Christmas, who is rumoured to be popping in at some stage during the night.

There’s no need to worry about dinner, as Apex will be along to cook up a barbecue, and there will be a chance to finish some Christmas shopping at the markets.

Jeff Seeney and Goondicum Resources have both made generous donations to the event.
