Bartlett family shares old stories

Central and North Burnett Times - - OVER 50S -

The Bartlett family was once one of the best-known families at Cania Gorge. The people at this family reunion, Michael Bunn, Dallas Bunn, Clark Bartlett (seated) and Betty Bartlett, on October 4, 1990, are descendents of Robert Bartlett, who was convicted of robbery and shipped to Australia in 1827. He married Sarah Foster and they had three boys: William, George and Edward. Robert died in 1845, aged 40. Clark Bartlett lived at Ceratodus before moving to Cania Gorge in 1936. In old age he moved to Monto and lived with his daughter, Gwen Litzow. The hut where he lived is still in the park.
