Praise for Christmas feast treat
ROBBIE and Michelle Radel, with help from Biggenden Apex Club, Biggenden Butchery and Biggenden Hospital Auxiliary, treated Biggenden residents who were going to spread Christmas Day by themselves to a festive feast.
Joyce Miller said it was fantastic of the couple.
“The idea was just wonderful and to receive presents at the end was above and beyond what was expected,” she said.
Frederick St resident Phillip Jones expected to have a sandwich for his Christmas lunch.
“The meal was absolutely delicious,” he said.
Mr Radel said the meal was exactly what the family was having at home – Mrs Radel just had to make larger quantities.
“We were blown away by the business and community support and the gratitude of the residents who came together to enjoy a meal as a big family,” he said.
“It was great to see happy faces while there were a few teary ones overwhelmed by the occasion.”
