Man crushed by a bull
A GAYNDAH man, crushed by a bull, was airlifted late Sunday morning to Bundaberg Hospital.
The 81-year-old patient had gone to check on the beast when the bull crushed him against a gate several times, causing serious abdominal injuries.
An RACQ CareFlight spokesman said the man made his own way to hospital.
When asked had he been to hospital before, he looked around and said “yes, this is the hospital I was born in”.
“They certainly breed them tough out at Gayndah,” the spokesman said.
The man is currently in Bundaberg Hospital’s intensive care unit in a serious but stable condition.
