137 between two teams

THE game of the week turned out to be a fizzer, with only 137 runs scored for the day. Knocked off for 67 runs in the first innings, the Wanderers were left wondering why they came all the way to Mundubbera. And then Stingers went in and were chewing their nails at 4-10 after only six overs. Again Douglas Kumar carried his bat for the Stingers and finished 20 not out and was awarded man of the match after a strong bowling display. Best for the Wanderers was Jack George with 16 runs not out and wides that scored 17. It was so hot and humid at Martins Oval that the grass was longer in the second innings than it was in the first and the Stingers were finding it hard to reach the boundaries. This week Colts come up against Wanderers in Mundubbera and Rebels take on the Stingers in Gayndah. See you at the cricket.
