Sullivan Livestock yarded 2088 cattle at their Gympie Sale, where all descriptions hit new highs.
Cattle were drawn from Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Maryborough, Tiaro, Aramara, Brooweena, Woolooga, Kilkivan, Eumundi, Maleny, Kenilworth, Cooroy and all local areas.
Charbray steers from Jan Mullholland, Widgee Crossing sold for $2.47 to return $1267.
Droughtmaster steers from Chris Burke, Tiaro sold for $2.68 or $1180 and $1137.
Droughtmaster X steers 18 months from the Roberts Family, Sandy Creek sold for $2.67 ($1160).
Shorthorn X charbray steers from Rob and Sharon Lohse, Spring Creek sold for $2.64 ($933) and $2.58 ($956).
Hereford X steers from Jeff Carlson, Miva sold for $2.61 or $982.
Charbray steers from Ted Fisher, Widgee sold for $2.57 ($863). John McCarthy, KiaOra, sold a very good draft of droughtmaster steers 12-14 months selling for $2.61 to return $872, $790 and $698.
Charbray weaner steers from Ian Hewitt, Tagigan Downs sold for $2.66 for a good result of $822, $770, $709 and $697.
Limousin X steers from Wayne Farrington, Biggenden sold for $2.59 or $834.
Topping the weaner steers was a draft of droughtmaster steers from BLR Operations Pty Ltd, Gundiah selling for $2.85 to return $723 and $655.
Droughtmaster steers from Chris Black, Bells Bridge sold for $2.79 or $797.

Howard and Brenda Kirby, Gemini Downs sold a very good draft of heifers with droughtmaster heifers selling for $2.53 and $2.51 to return $1058 and $1045 while their brangus heifers sold for $2.50 or $1036 and $1058.
Tressavale Grazing sold charbray heifers for $2.50, $1093 while their brahman heifers sold for $2.37 to return $970, $884 and $842.
