Mt Perry’s Young Citizen of the Year said she enjoyed community involvement.

“With the show I was always involved, and the races I just asked,” she said.

A founding member of Mt Perry Girl Guides, Johanna has also become a show steward – first in photography, then in cooking – to follow in the footsteps of her great-grandmother, grandmother and mother.

Mother Kym Cleary said Johanna’s suggestion of a “selfie” photography competition at the show had proved popular.

Johanna has also assisted at the Mt Perry Art Show, Working Dogs Association, Race Club, school and RSL.
