Mundubbera gets its airport
MUNDUBBERA will be the first town in the North Burnett to have their airstrip upgraded to an airport.
A massive 1200m long and 20m wide with an overall clearance of 80m
This new upgrade will be welcomed by air traffic from the private sector, the commercial sector and the heath sector.
The same upgrades are set to be rolled out to Monto and Gayndah, bringing three of our largest town’s airports up to a CASA standard.
The North Burnett Regional Council needs to be congratulated for seeing this initiative through and making it happen.
The works are being done by council staff and local contractors.
The experience that our locals are gaining by being engaged in these projects is priceless and there is nothing but good coming from these advancements.
The young engineering team working on the new airports are capable and enthusiastic and the team will deliver the projects on time and on budget.
If our workforce can achieve the results that I know they will, they are going to gain the confidence needed to develop new infrastructure for the benefit of the whole North Burnett.
I believe that this infrastructure is the sort of thing we need to kick start our economy.
