Centre brings history to life
The kids were quick to catch on to the balancing act. THERE’S no better way to liven up a history lesson than by taking it outside to the Monto Historical Centre.
Monto State School students got the chance to see the town’s gold stamp in action, ring the old bell collection and negotiate the “tractor tip” balancing act on foot.
Historical buffs Col List and Harold “Spook” Ware were on hand to share their knowledge, and Spook even put on a blacksmithing lesson.
