WITH youth comes enthusiasm and the Eidsvold Eagles have a ton of it.

Led around the paddock by Stanley Bligh, anything could happen.

The young Eidsvold side is coached by Steve Collins, who returns to the club to build a future for the Eagles.

Collins said he looked forward to the challenge of the young guns and he could see them going all the way to the final.

“Our main strengths are our youth, the boys present with not an ounce of fat on them and can run all day,” Collins said.

“We have a way to go with our combinations and our teamwork but we are working hard at training and it will come.”

The Eagles will be watching the reigning premiers throughout the year and believe they will be the team to beat in the final.

“They are big and strong but will give them a run for their money as the season goes on,” Collins said.

“It is a long season and they are already at their best whereas my side has a lot of improvement to look forward to.

“I have the greatest respect for all of the teams in the competition and our supporters know that the Eagles will always give 100%,” Collins said.
