Talks held on Luthje’s Rd land
THE North Burnett Regional Council hopes the State Government will help finance development of water, sewerage and power on industrial land near Monto.
The site on Luthje’s Rd in Monto is the only industrial land owned by the council in the North Burnett and it believes connecting these services will help drive industry into the town.

“In the seven to eight years we have had it there has been nibbles of interest but the barrier is lack of services,” Cr Lobegeier said.
“We are trying to give people more incentives to develop industry here.
“If the mining industry ever takes off here, this land is likely to be of use.”
Cr Lobegeier said the idea had been put to Deputy Premier Jackie Trad who “showed an interest” and discussions were ongoing.
