Sister act for Miss Showgirl
LYNETTE Vicary is a well-known Mundubbera girl who has the reputation as someone who will always get in and lend a hand.
Ms Vicary is the 2015 Miss Showgirl and like her sisters before her will be an energetic representative for Mundubbera.
One of seven sisters, Lynette said she was following in four of her siblings’ footsteps.
“My sisters Joselyn and Megan were both Mundubbera Miss Showgirl and Hanna and Emily both entered in the competition,” she said.
Ms Vicary works at Gavin Ford Mobiles in Lions St and she is known for her polite and friendly attitude to customers.
Gavin Ford said he couldn’t go wrong when he employed Lynette as she always had a friendly smile.
“She is an excellent member of my staff and I am impressed by her work ethic,” Mr Ford said.
“Lynette is always on time and she is willing to learn and have a go at anything.”
Ms Vicary was on the job recently placing ribbons on stud cattle at the showgrounds.
“I am thrilled to be doing the job as Miss Showgirl for my community and if I can showcase Mundubbera in a good light I will be satisfied that I have done a good job,” she said.
“My two younger sisters will soon take up the challenge and I will be happy to see all my sisters as showgirls, to carry on the tradition.”
Mundubbera Show will be held on the weekend of May 8-9 and Ms Vicary will be there showcasing Mundubbera.
