LIZ Robertson might not have a horse, but that didn’t stop her winning a bucketful of horse care products at Cash for a Cause in Monto on Saturday.

“I just wanted to bid on something,” she said.

“I donated it to someone I knew with a horse.”

The evening raised nearly $5000 for BlazeAid, which was also a donator and bidder at the event.

The next day Monto locals and travellers headed to the Cania Easter Markets.

Tess and Trevor Gleeson may not have done a roaring trade with their guinea-fowl, but believed the birds had a lot of potential.

“We have them to keep the snakes away,” Mrs Gleeson said.

“They are pretty little birds and they all have their own personalities.”

Cakes, jams, pickles and a breakfast barbecue served up by Anita Dent were a big hit at the colourful markets, as was Tyrone O’Reilly and his circus tricks.
