Show support is appreciated
THE Monto Show Society wants to thank all sponsors, big and small, as well all the people who will make the show possible this year.
Roy Goody made a donation, in memory of his brother Tom Goody, to put towards troughs in the prime cattle yards. Roy also donated a beast for the weight guesser.
Irene Bishop made a donation in memory of her husband Graham Bishop, towards the purchase of a new head bale for the prime cattle section.
Graham passed away last year and had been a show president and always a big supporter of the Monto Show. Tom used to sell tickets all weekend of the show, and last year a plaque was put up at the weight guesser yards in memory of Tom, who passed away just before last year’s show.
Bill and Beryl Avis donated $100 towards the prize money in the horse section.
If anyone wants to sponsor an event or make a donation, please contact the show society.
TIMBER: For the first time in years, the tree-felling event capped off the Monto Show last year.
