The Plate Final came up next with a 20 minutes each-way clash between Kingaroy and Cherbourg.
Half-time saw Cherbourg up by 8-4 in an arm wrestle of a game with both teams going at it from one end of the field to the other.
Eight points, all shortly after half-time, made it 12-8, and then 20-8, with Cherbourg proving too strong after a very hard-fought game. In the final Mundubbera Tigers again were fired up by Beezley and the Wondai Wolves were never in the game.
Mundubbera scored in the first two minutes and then again after 10.
At the break Beezley was full of praise for his team.
“I have never seen you guys play as well as you just did in that first half,” he said.
“Just keep it up and you will make history here today because Mundubbera has never won the Clash for Cash.”
The Tigers were too fit, too fast and too strong for theWondai side and ran away with a 20-0 victory to take the cup.
