“But I have none in the feedlot at the moment (as) rain has made a big impact.
“Prices have gone up and there’s heaps of feed around now.”
Prime cattle steward Vicki Palmer said the points system for judging carcases took into account eye muscle area in relation to weight and teeth.
“(The winning carcase will be) the right type of animal that dresses really well and has the right characteristics,” she said.
