BAN BAN SPRINGS SCHOOL: Chil­dren tend the Ban Ban Springs School gar­den in 1919. A sep­a­rate Mary­bor­ough Chron­i­cle re­port of De­cem­ber 16, 1919 stated a work­ing bee was held to re-fence the gar­den to pre­vent schol­ars' horses from en­ter­ing it. Work was com­pleted af­ter Cr W Kirk pre­sented the teacher Miss Gilchrist with a small present. Fam­i­lies en­joyed an af­ter­noon tea, games and songs when work was done.
