THE newest industry in Mundubbera will be showcased at the show with the Blue Berry Jam Making Competition.

Following on from the success of the Marvellous Marmalade competition held at the Taste of the Burnett Festival last year, it is hoped that the Mundubbera Show Best Blueberry Jam competition will stir up some interest in the town’s latest agricultural endeavour.

Community Bank Board member Louise Newman said anyone who would like to be the best jam maker in Mundubbera was encouraged to get in touch with the Mundubbera Community Bank for an entry form.

“For the other members of the community who would rather just eat jam there will be a taste-off at the show and everyone will get a chance to vote for the show goer favourite,” Ms Newman said.

“To accompany the blueberry jam there will also be a celebrity burger cook-off at the show that will be showcasing the culinary skills of some of the best know community talent.”

The burger cook-offs will be at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

For more information, phone Mundubbera Community Bank on 4165 3798.
