Workers find ute in grass

Central and North Burnett Times - - NEWS -

ROAD workers clearing the Burnett Hwy 26km north-west of Monto found the burned out shell of a ute in long grass at Coominglah State Forest on Tuesday.

Acting Sergeant Paul Nash said the Nissan Navara dual-cab ute was reported stolen from Biloela on April 6.

“It was burned out 30-40m off the side of the road,” he said.

“The vegetation must have been so green that it didn’t start any bush fires thankfully.”

Anyone with information about the vehicle or who might have seen it should phone Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000 or Police Link on 131 444.
