Juicy splash for our festival

Central and North Burnett Times - - NEWS -

CITRUS Art Central will add a juicy splash of art and handmade goods to this year’s Orange Festival.

Artist Sue Capewell has several income streams planned for her new art shop in Gayndah’s main street.

“I’m offering (art) lessons to kids and adults in the studio,” Ms Capewell said.

“Once the festival comes, I will open this as a shop.”

Artists’ works will hang on the front gallery walls and sales will attract a 25% commission.

North Burnett artisans are invited to rent a shelf to promote their wares for a three-month period.

“These could be soaps, handmade candles or little crafts,” she said.

Ms Capewell also plans to invite visitors to take a photo with Miss Mandy or Mr Orange.

Those interested in art lessons or renting a shelf to sell goods may phone Ms Capewell on 0488 612 888.
