Call for freeze on rego costs
THE state’s peak car body wants car registration costs frozen for another three years and stronger investment in roads.
RACQ has called on the State Government to commit to keeping registration rises stagnant for three years, which would keep them unchanged from 2011 prices.
RACQ Executive General Manager Advocacy Paul Turner said they had sent their Budget submission to the Government, advocating strongly for continued investment in priority areas.
“Queensland needs strong investment in transport infrastructure to improve safety, reduce congestion and bring economic benefits for our State through job creation,” he said.
