Central and North Burnett Times - - VOICE OF THE BURNETT -

THIS month we have the honour of bringing community heath care nurse Robbyn Slack into the folds of Rotary.

Robbyn has served her community for many years in the nursing field.

She will continue to do so with many worthwhile projects in Rotary.

A group of Rotarians attended the annual Rotary district conference in Hervey Bay last weekend.

It was an opportunity for Rotarians from Longreach up to Mackay in the North and the coast to hear about the projects of Rotary.

One such project of the Rotary Club of Longreach is extremely worthwhile.

Western Queensland is still in the midst of drought and in desperate need of financial resources to purchase water and feed for stock.

It is uncanny that just three months ago we were in a very similar position in the North Burnett.

If you feel that you can support the western areas financially, please do not hesitate to phone Melinda McIntyre, president of the Rotary Club of Gayndah.
