Baker rises to top with nar­row victory in Vet­er­ans Stroke event

DI BAKER edged out Des Randall to claim the Vet­er­ans 18-hole Stroke event played late last month.

Baker fin­ished with 68 nett to beat out Randall (69 nett) in the April 28 com­pe­ti­tion. The event at­tracted 11 play­ers.

There was some so­lace for Randall who took out the pin shot on 3/12 while Lind­say Baker took the honours on 5/14.

Grounds­man Jim My­ers, who has not been play­ing long, was also on tar­get, hol­ing out from the trees on the first hole for a five-point birdie.

James Dun­can fin­ished with 36 points to win the sin­gle stable­ford 18-hole com­pe­ti­tion played on Satur­day. Lind­say Baker and Rob Kirk shared sec­ond place with 35 points while Trevor Slack won the pin shot on 3/12.

Com­ing events: Satur­day – Tiger 4BBB (two play­ers, mul­ti­ply both your points for re­sult) 12.30pm hit-off.
