TRAVELLING workers in Gayndah are having their homes targeted for break-ins, according to Sergeant Josh Ryan.

The Gayndah Police Officer in Charge said there had been a number of reported break-ins during May and they all appeared to follow a pattern.

“They have all pretty much been the intermittent workers that have been targeted,” Sgt Ryan said.

Sgt Ryan said he suspected thieves had targeted homes of workers and broken in when everyone was out of the house.

“I think they knew they had all day to get in and out,” he said.

Goods stolen in the robberies included phones, laptops, cash and cigarettes.

Sgt Ryan urged Gayndah residents to be extra careful with keeping homes secured and report suspicious activity, no matter how minor, to police.
