Drafters take it up a notch

FI­NALS TIME: Paul Pow­nall in the Open Fi­nal at Mulgildie. THE AN­NUAL Mulgildie Campdraft was held at the week­end, with some of the best young and old rid­ers com­ing to town to show off their skills on horse­back.

The ac­tion started on Satur­day at the Mulgildie Sports­grounds with the maiden, ju­ve­nile, ju­nior and mini drafts keep­ing the day ac­tion-packed.

Sun­day saw the run­ning of the en­cour­age­ment, novice and oldies and cul­mi­nated in the fi­nals of the novice and open drafts.

Over­all high point win­ners over the week­end were PeterWal­lace and Ge­off Seeds.

The week­end also had the of­fi­cial open­ing of the newly con­structed arena that was made pos­si­ble with a grant from the Gam­bling Com­mu­nity Ben­e­fit Fund.
