Ian joins ranks of Ray White
EXPERIENCED auctioneer, livestock salesperson and registered valuer, Ian Newson has joined Ray White Rural Mundubbera lifting his sights to become a rural property salesperson.
Ian has a lifetime of experience in the industry having started in his father’s stock and agency business, Eric Newson & Co, as a 16-year-old.
Ian gained his real estate licence and general auctioneer’s license and progressed to running the business which was predominantly a livestock marketing operation growing from Proston to Murgon and Coolabunia and a short stint at Dalby Selling Complex.
During this time, Ian also qualified as a registered valuer and undertook valuations of all types of properties throughout the North and South Burnett.
Stepping aside from the livestock marketing sphere, Ian saw a great opportunity to fill a growing void in servicing rural property owners looking to successfully market their rural properties in the Burnett and surrounding regions.
Looking for a new challenge, Ian decided he wanted to concentrate on real estate sales, in particular commercial sized rural properties.
“I could see that joining Ray White would give me the platform to promote myself and the properties I am selling through a national and international group,” he said.
“Their professional approach and access to digital and press marketing leads the industry.
“Seeing the good work that Glen and Janelle Duffin are doing with their Mundubbera office, I jumped at the chance to join their team and serve their growing list of clientele ultimately providing the Burnett with a ‘one stop shop’ to support both sellers and purchasers alike.”
Principal agent Janelle Duffin said Ian already had proven himself as a successful marketer following the sale at auction of an Eidsvold property in April.
She said having Ian on her team fills an opportunity she sees to more fully service the South Burnett area.
“Ian has lived in Proston his whole life and has a wealth of knowledge of rural properties in this area as well as being very well respected and known.
“Our current auction campaign of ‘Marshlands’ has highlighted that there’s a large selection of quality properties in this area looking for an enthusiastic marketer.
“Ian’s experience as an auctioneer will also be an asset to our business, allowing us to conduct auctions in-house and to expand into clearing sales.
“We’ll kick off with Neville Colls’ Mundubbera clearing sale at the end of the month.”
