Teebar on show for all this Saturday
TEEBAR Sportsground will come alive this Saturday for the annual show, campdraft and rodeo.
With nominations for all the rodeo and campdraft events full, president Malcolm Beresford looks forward to the weather forecaster’s predication of rain holding off until Monday.
Mr Beresford said rain in the district at the weekend dampened the ground and cut the dust.
“The weather forecaster has predicted 11 to 26 degrees so it should be a beautiful day,” he said.
“As usual the campdraft is oversubscribed for the five events so there will be plenty of action for patrons to watch from early Saturday morning.
“The rodeo program has 13 events so that will fill the day in for patrons who flock to the grounds just to watch this sport.”
Mr Beresford said new secretary Sharon Barrett had done a wonderful job.
“Plus sponsorship for events is up from last year,” he said.
“Outside in the grounds, there are the usual canteen and bar facilities, live music along with Old MacDonald’s Farm animals and various rides for the children.
“The committee has also received record enquiries for trade displays.”
.In the hall, co-ordinator Michelle Kinbacher has had many enquiries from people wanting to enter the various classes, especially the photography.
“Around the hall there will be stalls from customised towels, jams and pickles, decorated bags, women’s and children’s felt hats and Felicity Rockemer’s paintings and cards,” she said.
Also in the hall there will be seating available for patrons to catch up for a chat and enjoy a cuppa and something to eat from the coffee shop.
Admission for adults is $12, concession $10, high school $5, primary school $2, toddlers free and family pass (2 adults & 2 children) $30.
