FOR country music lovers, the Monto RSL is the place to be this Sunday when the Chris Cook Band sings into town.

Singer and instrumentalist Chris Cook said the three-piece-band planned to rock the RSL roof and get audience feet stomping in their Big Country Show.

“We’ll be doing a show basically all about country music, we are really looking forward to playing in Monto,” he said.

“We play all types of acoustic and country music, from Bluegrass to Rockabilly.”

This isn’t the first time the Monto crowd has been treated to the sound of the Chris Cook Band.

“Last year we played in Monto on the Slim Dusty tour and it was great,” he said.

“My memories of Monto are the warm welcome we got, and the lovely, intimate club.”

The band will play at the Monto RSL from 2pm.

But North Burnett residents not based in Monto will have more opportunities to be at a Chris Cook Band performance. They will play at the Coalstoun Lakes Soldiers Memorial Hall on June 14 with a 7pm start.
