Great events coming across the Burnett

Central and North Burnett Times - - VOICE OF THE BURNETT -

THERE are a number of exciting community events coming up in the coming months for community members in the North Burnett region and Mundubbera Community Development Association is involved in a number of them.

The association wishes the planning committee of the Heartland Festival every success with the new concept and encourages all community members to support all the functions in the Gayndah and Mundubbera area.

This year seems to be the year when a number of performers are recognising the talent and contribution of Patsy Cline.

Patsy Cline passed away in 1963, but her contribution to music lives on, and in July and August two shows featuring the music of Patsy Cline will tour the region.

The first event will be The Patsy Cline and Brenda Lee Show, supported by the Texas Troubadours, at the Coalstoun Lakes Memorial Hall, on July 13. The show commences at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the show are available on the night for $27 which includes a light meal.

There will be a bus leaving the Gayndah Community Hall at 6pm to travel to Coalstoun Lakes Hall.

This is a great opportunity to travel to the show without driving.

The cost of the bus is $10 per ticket.

Booking of events supported by Mundubbera Community Development Association, including the bus to Coalstoun Lakes can be made by contacting the office on 4165 4690. –John Sharpe, MCDA
